As I spend a lot of time abroad my phone bills were tremendous: between 300$ to 500$ per month(!). Most of these bills were because I spent "too much time" talking to my friends and family who often called me asking for tips and advice in planning their vacations (do you know any cheap accommodation? Where can I find flights and tickets? Are there any special city deals? etc) Why don't I Skype? - I do not always have internet access when I am on the road. It kind of got out of hand when they started calling more and more, asking me information and tips, even for their friends and acquaintances. That's when I decided it would save me a lot of time and cash if I could just simply let them point their friends to Profitourist, the website you are now looking at.

As an airline employee I obviously "get around". The name Profitourist came about because I travel professionally but I also enjoy being a tourist while I am not actually flying. It was a cool name because it also mixed the idea of "profit for tourists".

If you found this website, chances are that you were told about it by a friend, relative, colleague, neighbor or a person you know. Profitourist, the website was never really intended to be a commercial enterprise.

By the way: Here is the reason why my site looks the way it looks :-) its a simple matter of Cost versus Fun for me. I did check if there was an option to give the whole thing "a bit more spice" but the fun quickly disappeared when the Website professionals kindly informed me of the price for their "ingredients" .... then I wasn't so hungry anymore :-) So this is what I can offer you for now - Hope you enjoy it (let me know)
